Special note: Weather and ground conditions this time of year are hard to predict, so please check with the leader ahead of time to find out which, if any, activity is still scheduled. All locations are in Massachusetts unless otherwise noted. Ride category explanation.

Deadline for March newsletter.
If you can lead a hike, ski, bike ride or other activity in March, submit the details by midnight Feb. 13 to Lynne Tolman, LTolman@LTolman.org , 508-831-0301. Remember, Presidents Day is Feb. 21.

if there's enough snow

Activity: Cross-country ski in Nick's Woods
Location: St. John's Episcopal Church, 166 Holden St., Worcester
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Leader: Kim McCoy, 508-853-6477,

If there's about 8 inches of snow on the ground and roads are plowed, we should be good to kick 'n' glide. Call or e-mail leader by 8:30 a.m. to confirm. St. John's Episcopal Church is near Brattle Street and the railroad tracks; meet in the church's rear parking lot. Access to the park is from Smith Lane, across Holden Street. Kim is a ranger for the park with the Greater Worcester Land Trust. Avoid the parking spaces near the church if you can.

Activity: Night skiing (downhill) at Wachusett Mountain
Location: Wachusett Mountain Ski Area, 499 Mountain Rd., Princeton
Time: Call leader for dates and times

Get together after work for some social skiing on the well-lighted trails at Wachusett. Call or e-mail leader for meeting dates and times.
