Meet the author of “Major Taylor: World Cycling Champion”

Meet Charles R. Smith Jr., author of the children’s book “Major Taylor: World Cycling Champion,” in a free virtual visit hosted by the Major Taylor Association and Candlewick Press.

Seven Hills Wheelmen and other cycling clubs across the country affiliated with the Major Taylor Association are donating copies of the Major Taylor book to local schools, libraries, and youth programs. In Worcester, books are being given to the Martin Luther King Day children’s book drive coordinated by Worcester Area Mission Society for Worcester and Fitchburg public school students, and to  City View Discovery School third-graders.

Readers of all ages are invited to meet Charles R. Smith Jr.  on Zoom as he shares his inspiration, love of language, and enthusiasm for cycling and its history.
