George Street Bike Challenge for Major Taylor
Main and George streets in Worcester, Mass.
It’s one rider at a time against the clock on this short, steep hill climb in downtown Worcester.
The distance is 500 feet, and the average grade is 18 percent.
The challenge is open to riders ages 12 and up. Helmets are required.
Entry was $25, or free for members of the Seven Hills Wheelmen.
On-site registration on event day was $30.
